The institution is located in the picturesque landscape on the right bank of Upper ganges canal in the foothill of Shivalik range of Himalayas. Though it is rural college yet it is gifted with the cosmopolitanism and confluence of diverse faith presented by the adjacen. globally famous pilgrimage city Haridwar.

The parent body of this institution is Mahavidyalaya Sabha, Jwalapur. It is a multifunctional society and runs a college of oriental language Sanskrit and Vedic Sanskriti, popularly known as ‘Gurukul Mahavidyalaya, Jwalapur’, which is synonym of Mahavidyalaya Sabha Jwalapur as per constitutional provisions. Other units are PG College in Sanskrit, Yoga College with ‘Yogacharya’ course with supporting independent units of Agriculture and Goshala in addition to B.Ed. Course.
